Word of the Week: April 10, 2023

Word of the Week: a bookish meme hosted here on Mondays in which we share a word that we find entertaining, enlightening, edifying, or just plain fun to say! Share your own word on your blog, then help me grow the meme and come share it here on mine!

This week’s word is one that may sound familiar from our more common use of the adjective form.

According to Merriam-Webster, a person who frivols is a frivoler (which may also be spelled as frivoller). Perhaps you can find a use for frivol or frivoler in daily conversation!

Bonus: a fun synonym for frivolous (of little weight or importance) is nugatory. Which is more fun to say? That’s a tough question!

Add your link to the linky, and let’s share the love for our new and interesting words!
