Word of the Week: a bookish meme hosted here on Mondays in which we share a word that we find entertaining, enlightening, edifying, or just plain fun to say! Share your own word on your blog, then help me grow the meme and come share it here on mine!

This week’s word could be useful, depending on if it’s something you like. Or it could just be fun to say!

How many of you have ever heard of succotash? If you’re a Looney Tunes fan, you may be familiar with the word from Sylvester the cat.
Suffering Succotash
Would you eat succotash? Going by that definition there, it does NOT sound like something I’d like. (I loathe lima beans.) I think the recipe may have changed a bit, though. This one, from Southern Living, adds bacon and some other veggies, too. That might make it almost palatable!
How about you? What’s your Word of the Week? Share your link in the linky below, and share the meme to help it grow!
I’m from the Southern US, so I’ve eaten my fair share of succotash. It’s really not all that bad. . . I mean, I much prefer other veggie side dishes, but I’ll eat it.
Mine for this week is added to your hop!
I’m from the Southern US, too! I’ve had loads of opportunity to eat limas. I just can’t. Blech. There are way too many veggies I like to waste my time on lima beans!
I’m not into succotash. I really dislike lima beans. The longer you chew them, the drier they become!
Left my word on your hop!
Thank you! I just can’t like limas. I’ve tried. Nope.
