Word of the Week: a bookish meme hosted here on Mondays in which we share a word that we find entertaining, enlightening, edifying, or just plain fun to say! Share your own word on your blog, then help me grow the meme and come share it here on mine!

This week’s word is inspired by RobWords’ video about lost positives – you know, those negative words that you’re never quite sure whether they have a positive counterpart.

Years ago, before we’d ever heard of RobWords, my husband once asked, “So if you can be disgruntled, can you also be gruntled?” (These are normal conversations at our house. Our brains go weird and wondrous places.) Turns out that yes indeed, you can be gruntled! Go give a listen to RobWords’ discussion about it (go to about 7:24 in the video) and other lost positives.
I keep forgetting I can use “gruntled” in conversation. I really should do that. What about you? Did you know we could be gruntled as well as disgruntled?
Got a word? Share it below. Then share the meme to help it grow! (If my linky isn’t showing up right now, I’m working on that.)
