Today we’re talking about reasons why we’re thankful for books!

- Books let me visit all kinds of places without ever packing a bag!
- Books challenge my thinking.
- Books expand my vocabulary.
- Books are like a Tardis – they can take me anywhere in time AND space.
- Bookish friends – bloggers, authors, fellow readers, librarians, anyone in publishing – are the best!
- Books on shelves make my house feel cozy.
- With a book in my hand, I am never bored.
- Curling up on the couch with a book and a cat is a great way to spend an afternoon.
- I’ve been able to pass my love of reading on to one of my kids. (The other is resistant. He does read manga, though, so he’s not a complete non-reader.)
- I will never run out of gift suggestions as long as my TBR remains.
What are your reasons for loving books? Feel free to share in a comment!
Books do make things feel cozy. 🙂 And I love the adventure of books! There’s always some place to discover or adventure to explore inside a book.
A great list! My oldest son is 5 and the house is filled with his books. He doesn’t like to read the words though, he carries the books around with him and makes up his own story (based on what he remembers me saying!). We shall see what happens with my 4 month old son 😂
Have a great week!

My oldest doesn’t really read; she’s always struggled with it. My youngest enjoys reading, but her favorite genre is horror, which I avoid. I’m thankful books are such an essential part of my life.

Bookish friends are awesome for sure.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Books are definitely bigger on the inside – whole worlds bigger! I love all your reasons for loving books and agree with them all (although I don’t have a cat).
Happy TTT!

All great things to be thankful for. I would add, I am thankful for a wonderful way to spend time with my grandchildren.
Haha, I never thought about #10. I always have a massive wish list!
Books do make a home feel cozy! I also love spending an evening curled up on the couch with a book! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
Love that Tardis comment! Great list!
